The oath of office, administered by Area 12 Governor Marlene Bryan (ACB, ALB), was followed by the ceremonial passing of the president’s gavel from Norman Gaslowitz (ATM, CL) to Heather Mahoney.

Please welcome your 2013 board, who will begin their term January 1:

  • President: Heather Mahoney (CC, CL)
  • VP Education: Evaldo B. Amaral (ACG, CL)
  • VP Membership: Anita Fain Taylor (CC)
  • VP Public Relations: Kate McClare (CC, CL)
  • Secretary: Vernell McKinney Toure
  • Treasurer: Stanley Lloyd
  • Sergeant-at-Arms: Mateo Romero

To learn their duties — and help Gelfand retain our status as a President’s Distinguished Club — all officers will attend training at the Toastmasters Leadership Institute in January.

All members are encouraged to share their ideas for helping Gelfand continue to be the best Toastmasters Club around.

Let’s also thank our outgoing officers for their efforts in leading the club: President Norman Gaslowitz, VP Education Sandra Sanson (CC), Secretary Janete Santana (CC) and Sergeants-at-Arms William Thomas (ACB, CL) and John Simon (CC, ALB).
